Angel Rivera was born to Angel Rivera, a Puerto Rican-born businessman, and Madeline Flores of Ohio.  Growing up, Angel dressed and accessorized his sisters Sheila and Christina for all occasions.  As a child, Angel was obsessed with fashion, and especially bridal gowns. 

Angel says, “It’s the one garment a woman feels special wearing, and will always remember and treasure”.  In his free time, Angel was always sketching.  His mother says, “I remember him at the young age of six sketching gowns, and saying that he was going to be a designer”.

Angel Rivera grew up in Youngstown, Ohio and studied at Youngstown State University where he received his bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising and Speech Communications. Just days after graduation, he left Ohio and went to New York in search of a career in fashion.

Angel has worked and learned from well-known companies such as Amsale, Kenneth Pool, Christos, Kirstie Kelly, and the world-famous Kleinfeld the home of "Say Yes to the dress”.  He also continued his education in pattern making at the Parsons School of Design.

As fate would have it, Angel designed a bridal gown for a friend, and soon after word spread and more requests were coming in.  Friends, family and coworkers encouraged him to begin his collection.  What began as a dream has turned into an exquisite collection of gowns that exude beauty, elegance, sophistication, glamour and a modern flair.  The use of the finest silks, laces, embroideries and beading are staples of Angel Rivera.  Angel has dressed well known celebrities such as Martina McBride, Essence Atkins, and Kim Richards.

Angel's gowns have been photographed and featured in publications such as People Magazine, US Weekly Magazine, Brides Magazine, Engaged Magazine, Weddings Unveiled, and New Jersey Bride Magazine.
